It wasn't always easy....


In 2001 I lived in a trailer in Alabama


I moved to Nashville to be a country singer in 2001. While I was fortunate enough to get a record deal and tour for several years, it was short lived.  


Eventually I was dropped from the record label and my dreams of being a country singer were shattered.


At the age of 33, I was married and unemployed.


It was 2011 and the economy was in shambles. I applied for jobs at both Home Depot and Lowes. I didn't even get a second interview.

We lived in an 1100 square foot rental with a COMBINED income of $42k.


After I couldn't get hired at Home Depot or Lowes, I knew I had to do something. I started knocking on people's doors asking them if I could rake leaves.


I felt like a complete failure.


Over the next few years, my handyman business grew but it was always a struggle.


A friend of mine introduced me to water damage


I was sold... water damage was the ticket!


I was SO nervous as I asked my wife...

She looked me in the eyes...

Over the next few years

I started to get traction but they were all saying the same things...

I don’t even recall what it was that had happened exactly. It was something about they drilled a hole in the wrong place through the foundation of the home or something.


Either way, I have Google on my phone and I could find a couple of masons to fix this up and I did just that.
